Humberstone House NPC is a registered Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) and Public Benefit Organisation (PBO). Humberstone operates a home-away-from-home care facility for intellectually disabled adults in Southern Suburbs, Cape Town.

Located around the corner from the Plumstead Station in a quiet cul-de-sac, our home has a relaxed and happy atmosphere. We are  a family of brothers and sisters – cared for by our experienced house carers.

Humberstone currently has Four residents with space for Three more.

Vision

Our vision is of a community where all individuals and their contributions are valued, where those with special needs can live in safety and continue to develop.

Mission

Our mission is to establish and run a family sized residential home where adults with intellectual disability are supported to live, work and develop as independently as they are capable, as part of the community.
